Crown Cake for my grandson's 1st birthday:

My grandson's 1st birthday was Wednesday. We are going to his party tomorrow.
I baked him a crown cake because he is a PRINCE! :)

It isn't exactly what I was hoping for but oh well.

I'm SO glad it is done. I feel so relieved. I always feel like that after I do a cake. :)
Have a nice weekend kiddos,
Susie

  1. Bloomin' heck, Susie.
That is one splendid cake. Utterly marvellous!
I'm afraid my grandson is unlikely ever to get a cake made by me as I frankly not very good (huge understatement) at baking.

You know I just went back and looked at it and it is pretty durn good. I guess being on top of it for a few hours I don't see it right. I do need to practice writing on cakes though. LOL.

Hope it travels well for the two hours on the road. :)

  18. Great looking cake. I love to decorate cakes...but I have "hot hands" and it always have to have at least 3 piping bags to prevent my hot hands from thinning the consistancy of the frosting. Great job...but it's yummy.
