Well I found time to finally do another of the Bread Baker's Apprentice Challenge recipes. This is called Challah and could be braided but seeing I did that last week I decided to do some thing different.
CAN YOU SEE MY "S"?
Here are my Challah "S" rolls cooling.
Do you wonder how I did this so nicely????? LOL!
Here is my "S" all pretty on a nice dish towel.
LOOK BELOW TO SEE HOW I GOT IT SO NICE!
Here are my rolls rising in the secret pan. This pan is called Burvelle's Educated Cake Pan. The squares are placed in unque ways to create numbers and letters. Neat eh?
I bought it to bake cakes that showed the age of the birthday person. :o)
I found the Challah recipe easy and tasty!
Looks great Susie! I love your pan!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have two of them so it will be cool to do numbers and initials if I find time. :)
ReplyDeleteAppreciate it,
Susie
Looks delicious. I love challah. Love the pan idea too.
ReplyDeleteSusie, I want those pans.:D
ReplyDeleteYour Schallah looks amazing. It's tasty, isn't it? It's one of my most favorite breads.:)

ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, it's tasty..........just one left.
On to #7! :o)
Susie
Mags,
ReplyDeleteWell thank you! The only thing is I'm running out of "S" ideas. :)
Susie
Tammy,
ReplyDeleteThanks! I heard about the pan on a cake forum. I got two of them on ebay. They are expensive though.
Susie
I am not sure what impresses me more, your ability to comment on virtually everyone's bread (how do you keep up?), your ability to get an "S" in every bread, or that you found a pan that I have never, ever even heard of, and I read about cooking and baking constantly! One that's "educated," after all!) And, darn, but those rolls look really, really good.
ReplyDeleteJanice,
ReplyDeleteWhat nice compliments. :) Thanks!
I don't know how I keep up. Probably because I only work a few hours OUT of the home. I do go to see my Dad 2 or more times a week at the nursing home and I watch my grandson about every weekend and sometimes more. :o) Love that kid.
I don't know how long I can keep up with the "S". I'm running out of ideas. Maybe I can find an "S" dish towels to lay them on.
Thanks again,
Susie
That's so fun! And beautiful, and most likely delicious as well!
ReplyDeleteRebeca,
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, very tasty
I enjoy your blog.
Susie

VERY cute...(and lovely looking bread, too). My challah was very boring-looking by comparison! Congrats...
ReplyDeleteATigerInTheKitchen,
ReplyDelete:) Thanks.
I doubt your bread was boring. Can any bread be boring????
Susie
What beautiful bread rolls...the perfect color, and now we know how you got the perfect shapes in the perfect alignment! How fun is this pan! Always something exciting over here. We loved the Challah made into rolls best.
ReplyDeleteKayte,
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really need to get that pan out and use it more often for cakes, brownies and more rolls of course.
Have fun,
Susie
