Bread Books I have

I think it is really funny that the bread books I have are mostly for Bread Machines as I now use the bread machine to knead only and I form and bake in the regular oven. The only time I bake in the machine is if I want bread and it is HOT, HOT, HOT out. :)

Here are the bread books that I have:

Ultimate Bread by Eric Treuille & Ursula Ferrigno
Bread Machine by Carole Clements
Prairie Home Breads by Fertig
Bread Machine Baking by Better Homes and Gardens
The Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook by Tom Lacalamtia
The Bread Machine Magic Book of Helpful Hints by Linda Rehberg & Lois Conway
More Bread Machine Magic by Linda Rehberg & Lois Conway
The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Bible by Beth Hensperger (MY FAVORITE)
7 Bread books by Donna Rathmell German (THESE are my next favorite)
COMING SOON: The Bread Baker's Apprentice by Peter Reinhart :o)

  1. This is a great collection! I love Beth Hensperger's books (Don't have a bread machine, so I don't have this one...) Thanks for visiting! I'm enjoying the BBA group - and I think anyone who can make 10 dozen gorgeous rolls can make bagels with their eyes closed! :)

  2. Thanks. Beth's is my favorite. I don't bake in the bread machine. I just use it to knead.
    What is your favorite book?
HA HA............thanks for the vote of confidence. :o)

  3. Wow on this list of bread books! Bread books I have: The Bread Baker's Apprentice...LOL! I am just getting started, talked into this by my friends at TWD and Whisk Wednesdays...not a clue what I am doing, but I did make all THREE versions of the Artos. I am baking with the slower bakers...we post every other week instead of every week as we all have crazy schedules and we figured that pace would suit us just fine. I have my post banked for next week already...you'll probably be fifteen recipes ahead by then! Oh, well, I am here to LEARN.

  4. Kayte,
    Thanks.
I don't have many books really compared to some but I guess compared to some I do. LOL.
I think the slower group was a good idea and should have joined it. I'm trying to get ahead because we are going to be traveling in AUGUST and I'll get behind.
    You're doing great.
I'm getting ready to do #4.
    :)

  5. What a fabulous collection of bread books! I really enjoy the convenience of having the bread machine to do the kneading as well, and love being able to knead by hand when I have the time. I love the sound of Beth's bread machine book - brilliant! I'll have to get that one next. Thanks for the inspiration!
