KOTD: Orly "Snowcone", BM16 and Konad White :o)

This is Orly "Snowcone". Another Orly that I love. I did mess up the application. Not the polishes fault but mine. I kept bumping into things. I didn't clean the cuticles very well either. In a hurry I guess.

This is an awesome polish to apply. IT went on in one coat. :)
I'm loving Orly's!

I konaded with plate BM16. I didn't realize how much white it was going to put on to the nail. It covers up most of the pretty blue. Oh well. :)

Here is my BRUISED hand again. YUCKY eh?

Matches my sweater real nice. :)

I'm going to get me some more Orly's one day. :)

Pretty eh?

Fauxnad update for Sally Hansen "Green With Envy Manicure"!

Check my post before this one here to see the original manicure:
This is my third design I've done from this plate. It is BM03 using the leaf design. Skulda from http://skuldasclaws.blogspot.com/ wanted me to try it. So here goes.

I was going to use white and then I noticed I had some dark green Konad polish so I used that and glad I did.
I love it!

A TIP: This design likes to be scrapped side to side NOT top to bottom. The polish would not come all off when I scrapped top to bottom. :)

Here are the supplies I used.
Have a great day!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Green With Envy" & I bruised my hand!

Hi gals!
I thought I would entertain you while I'm waiting for this manicure to set up good enough to do some fauxnading. Skulda from the blog http://skuldasclaws.blogspot.com/ asked if I would do the leaf design from the BM03 plate so I'll try it next. :)

I was surprised how nice this polish was to apply. I've used the Xtreme polish once before in Ocean Blue. I loved that color and I love this one too.

It was two coats. :) The first one a tad streaky but second one does the trick.

This is my bruised hand. I was moving the hamper out of the way so I could mop the floor and I smacked my hand into the edge of the door where the sticky outtie thing sticks out. :)
It puffed way up and it still a tad swollen and immediately discolored. This is the second day. OUCH! :) SEND polish for recovery. LOL........Just kidding, it is fine today though.
Have a great MOTHER'S DAY weekend,
Susie

Chicky, this is for you! The "Winged Heart" from BM03!

Chicky from http://www.prettypunkuk.blogspot.com/ requested that I try the "Winged Heart" from the BM03 plate so I gave it a whirl.
Please visit Chicky's blog. VERY NICE! :)

I did black first but it didn't show up well so I wiped it off and went with good ole white.
A tad hard to line up and of course it doesn't fit on the pinkie but it is very nice.

Thanks Chicky for requested it.

Nail Envy, Barielle Natural Nail Camouflage, OPI Mad As A Hatter! :o)

I am trying OPI's Nail Envy Nail Strengthener for the first time today with Barielle Natural Nail Camouflage on top of it. I actually like the look. It matches my skin. :)
I've heard good things about Nail Envy and thought I'd give it a whirl. I broke a nail today and had to cut them all back again. It seems I just start to gain some length and I brake one. :)

This is the tiny OPI Mad As a Hatter my friend Suzann bought me. :) Isn't it the cutest?

I've heard over and over and over again gals raving over this polish and I thought ya it's pretty but until you put it on yourself and see it in the light you can't appreciate it. It is one of my very favorites and I'm going to have to see about getting the BIG size. :)
It is so awesome.

I'm having WAY too much fun.

Konad of the day and My 'real' opinion of the BundleMonster Fauxnad Plates:

First off I want to thank http://beautopia.onsugar.com/ for the Sally Hansen Opulent Cloud polish. I won it on her blog. She is awesome. If you want to see awesome manicures and other wonderful blog posts, stop by her site.
These are the items I used.

Sally Hansen Opulent Cloud is a dark gray with a purplish undertone and went on in two coats.

I sort of hurried so I could get it done before lunch. I shouldn't hurry a manicure. :)

See the purplish undertone?

OK here is where I want to discuss my real opinion of the Bundle Monster Fauxnad plates.
I took the time to look over all 21 of the plates. There are quite a few designs that are very untrue likenesses of what the design is suppose to be and the design is just splatted onto the plate without much though into the form and outline of a true and well made design.
There are quite a few good designs too though.
Take this fire/flame design from plate BM07 using Konad Red Polish for the stamping. It is not well formed and just doesn't look like much in my opinion.
Would I pay $17.99 for 21 of those plates again......well........I would have to say yes because there are quite a few nice designs. Konad I do have to say takes more thought into their designs and more of a quality image.
Just my opinion. :) You will see more of these plate designs from me I'm sure.

Rimmel "Posh Pink" and trying out a Fauxnad plate BM19!

This is Rimmel "Posh Pink"! Two coats. The photo is off in  that it looks jelly like or something. Not sure why.

Here is the BM19 plate. It was posted by reemiireem on the MUA forum. :)

This looks a tad better!

I used the Fauxnad Plate BM19. The design is made so that there really isn't much of a definition. It didn't seem to scrap off as well as the Konad plates either unless the scraper I used was crap.

You can see where some fingers though look ok so it might have been how I scraped or the scraper.
You can also see where the design is a little smaller so it does't totally cover the thumb.

I sliced myself trying to take the plastic film off the plate. It didn't like Acetone in it at all. LOL.

Revlon Scented Gum Drop and Konading too! :o)

Here is my manicure for today. I used Revlon's Scented "Gum Drop" polish. Yes it is scented. It smells to me like bubble gum. :) It is such a pretty color. It was 4 coats though.
I Konaded with the Konad Princess Blue Pearl Polish and Konad Image Plate M71.
I like the blue over the lavender.
It was only my second time trying a design that goes over the tips. I REALLY need practice.
:o)
