Rimmel "Posh Pink" and trying out a Fauxnad plate BM19!

This is Rimmel "Posh Pink"! Two coats. The photo is off in  that it looks jelly like or something. Not sure why.

Here is the BM19 plate. It was posted by reemiireem on the MUA forum. :)

This looks a tad better!

I used the Fauxnad Plate BM19. The design is made so that there really isn't much of a definition. It didn't seem to scrap off as well as the Konad plates either unless the scraper I used was crap.

You can see where some fingers though look ok so it might have been how I scraped or the scraper.
You can also see where the design is a little smaller so it does't totally cover the thumb.

I sliced myself trying to take the plastic film off the plate. It didn't like Acetone in it at all. LOL.

  1. What's your verdict Susie?? Are these plates worth the $$ or no? I ordered the set too, and I'm so anxious to get mine and see! I'm so curious.

I love that pink on you too & your fauxnad :-)

I have never seen this design before. If you have time do you think you can take a picture of the plate?

I quite like this fauxnad. I think it looks kinda cool with the outer rim of pink showing like that.

  12. Very pretty pink!! Love the plate. There has to be some backing we can put on the bottom of those plates.

Thanks for posting for me on MUA :)

  16. I agree that the thumb looks funny as it does not cover the entire nail plate. I just did a quick swatch of that plate along with BM 10,11,12,16,20 and 21. My verdict...too small for the thumb. Some of the designs are so-so, but a few are pretty cool. I may end up using them for tip-work as I can't use has a whole stamp for my thumbs. Overall decent for the price (7 plates for $9.50 included the shipping) The seller is Bundlemonster at Amazon.com (even though I bought mine via Ebay...same seller)

  17. Hey Susie, one quick question - are the full-image designs narrower? I'm surprised they can fit 6 on one plate - I'm worried they wouldn't cover my nails. Are they the same size as the Konad full images or thinner? THANKS!! :D

  18. Beata,
I don't mind it being a tad smaller for the thumbs. I did write to BundleMonster and recommended that if he had more made to make them bigger. If you have time you could write to him too.
    Like you said........good deal. :)

  22. rmcandlelight,
    Thanks!
Would putting backing on the plates help the edges? It is the edge that is sharp. Now that I have the film off I don't think I'll have any problems. :)
Yes, that pink thing is my OTT light. I got it at joanns on line at 75% off right before Christmas. :)
